DEATH BATTLE is featuring: Bill Cipher (Gravity Falls) VS. Discord (MLP) - Battles - Comic Vine (2024)

Death Battle's next season is featuring: Bill Cipher vs. Discord! That's a interesting fight between two cartoonish villains with godly powers (despite Discord being a former one) able to control reality like it was absolutely nothing and cause massive chaos without breaking a sweat.

I would like to see arguments for Bill/Discord here, what do you guys think about this fight?

I wonder if they'll use comic feats for Discord, and novel showings for Bill.

Is the fight actually even though? I’ve heard Bill Cipher is universal+.

Unlike most people think, Discord is pretty busted. He's mostly held back by stupid plots(Like when couldn't attack Queen Chrysalis' stronghold because magic didn't work, or when left himself exposed to Tirek and Sombra). Discord himself said that could manipulate all of reality, and Pinkie Pie with his powers also said that can control the cosmos itself. Discord is even more powerful if we allow comics feats, with him warping/creating alternate universes/dimensions.

Damn. I'd give the show a shot, if it weren't a show about fricking rainbow ponies...

You got nearly all the time you want since G4(MLP:FiM) ended and we're now in G5. I do recommend though, it has nice songs and some cool moments. The show just got a bad reputation mostly thanks to psycho bronies from 4Chan and the hardcore fans who somehow like to dress as ponies.

I'm personally very excited for this episode, has real potential to be in the upper echelons of amongst my favourite depending on how they handle it. Would be insane if they could get Alex Hirsh and John de Lancie to voice them respectively but that might be a high bar :p

They're terms used which mean generation aka the period of which an era the show was in, G4 was the one that ended and G5's the new one. An also what Andro said.

To be fair I think their opinion of Thor went through the roof after that

Like I recall Thor one-shotting WW in the Scarlet Witch vs Zatanna fight

not to mention crushing Vegeta's skull

Discard all those feats

Kicking the Doctor out of his TARDIS (and the story too?) solo

If not that I remember something about him rampaging through Marvel and DC and Fawcett

Besides, remember that if we scale Discord to his cousin Princess Iris, we got a character powerful enough to subdue an entire dimension and Nightmare Moon/Dawnbreaker at the same time.

Well basically it was all off-screen adventures but he got bored of them and then put Equestria on his list, which implies alot, considering what he did to it

He also has his alter ego Accord who is quite frankly terrifying

Yeah, Discord is extremely powerful, either with feats or scaling. Not sure if you remember the thread where people had him against Thanos, and everyone was losing their minds over the chance of a Marvel character like Thanos losing to someone from MLP, lol.
